The RIM device will include a 1GHz dual-core processor, a seven inch 1024x600 WSVGA capacitive LCD touchscreen and the Blackberry Tablet OS.
Dual cameras capable of recording full 1080p footage and 16GB of internal storage will ensure that the PlayBook can store plenty of applications and media, whilst the 1GB of RAM will keep multitasking speedy.
The PlayBook also has a whole array of sensors for mapping and gaming including GPS, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and a Digital Compass.
The Blackberry Tablet OS which will ship with the PlayBook is an entirely new operating system designed especially for the device. Early demonstrations and previews with the tablet show the OS to be quick and snappy with web and media tasks. The OS will also allow you to share information like email, BBM and address book contacts wirelessly between a Blackberry phone and the PlayBook.
